Community Channel wanted to get its programming in front of a wider audience, so Press Red were commissioned to build a streaming video broadband service where the best of its programmes are watch-able in their entirety.
So if you’ve missed a television programme, or if you’ve not got access to digital television, you can now catch some of the best and freshest shows from Community Channel - all online via their new video player.
The player implements digital rights management in the form of IP geolocation, so viewers from the UK can watch any of the shows, whereas international viewers will only be able to watch the Channel's own in-house news and other rights-free programming.
The broadband service has been funded by the Home Office’s Volunteering and Charitable Giving Unit of the Active Communities Directorate.
